Highland Oaks Designing Dads (HODD) will be getting a new name, same mission, Highland Oaks Designing Parents (HODP). A big change for our organization took place at our last board meeting. The Board of Directors unanimously voted to change our name to Highland Oaks Designing Parents. This was long overdue as the previous name did not recognize the leadership of the women who have led this organization for many years. We are proud to be able to preserve the spirit of the founding name but update it to more accurately reflect all the parents who make this organization possible. WHO WE ARE
Highland Oaks Designing Dads (HODD), incorporated in 1998, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization organized to enhance every student’s educational experience of Highland Oaks Elementary School.
GOAL
EACH YEAR we must raise $45,000 through donations for the following school year to provide the opportunity for each student (TK-5th grade), to learn and practice singing, dancing in the HODD Performing Arts Program.
HOW WE ACCOMPLISH THE GOAL TOGETHER.
HODD presents the benefits of the HODD Performing Arts Program to each family during Hawk Day and solicits support through an annual contribution. Throughout the school year, HODD and parent volunteer committees organize entertaining, and engaging fundraising events for Highland Oaks families.
The HODD Board thanks Highland Oaks families and the local communities for their continued support to Performing Arts program. It’s a very special and unique program and one that we should all be very proud of!
